CDW Wins Better Business Bureau’s 2016 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics

CDW wins torch award

Michael Marty, CDW director of customer experience, accepts the BBB Torch Award.

CDW won a Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Chicago and Northern Illinois. Among hundreds of organizations nominated, CDW is one of six Chicago-area businesses selected to receive the award this year.

The Torch Award honors companies whose leaders demonstrate a high level of personal character and ensure that the organization’s practices meet the highest standards of ethics, and consequently generate a high level of trust among their coworkers, customers and communities.

“The Torch Award is the premier award the BBB can present to a company,” said Steve J. Bernas, president and CEO of the BBB serving Chicago and Northern Illinois. “Torch Award winners demonstrate the highest ethical standards of trust and behavior toward customers, business partners, shareholders, employees and the communities in which they do business.”

Awardees are selected by an independent panel of judges after an evaluation of ethical performance in the following categories:

  • Leadership commitment to ethical practices
  • Communication of ethical practice
  • Leadership practices to unify the organization
  • Organizational commitment to performance management practices
  • Organizational commitment to ethical human resource practices
  • Organizational commitment to the community

“At CDW, we are committed to running our business with honesty, integrity and the highest level of ethics,” said Michael Marty, director of customer experience, CDW. “We are deeply honored to be recognized for our efforts by the Better Business Bureau.”
