CDW’s Washington, D.C.-area office recently relocated to a new facility in Reston, Va., and coworkers and partners celebrated the move April 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Tom Richards, CDW chairman and CEO, and Dennis Berger, senior vice president and chief coworker services officer.
The new office will enable coworkers to work together more effectively, with convenient, centralized meeting spaces meant to enhance collaboration among coworkers, partners and customers. It will also house a technology demonstration lab featuring the latest technologies from CDW’s top partners.
The space offers an array of upgraded amenities, including sit/stand workstations, a modern desk layout, huddle rooms for spontaneous meetups, updated technology in meeting spaces and onsite food service and fitness facilities. It is conveniently located near a future Metro stop and the Reston Town Center, a popular destination for shopping and dining.
“Our teams are very excited for the move and the ability to utilize this modern workspace in order to increase productivity,” said Randy Harris, vice president, Federal program management, capture and services. “Additionally, the new office will be extremely attractive to prospective recruits in the area and ensure we continue to fill CDW with talented coworkers.”
Outside the office, CDW coworkers carry on the tradition of investing in their communities. CDW’s Washington, D.C., coworkers are actively involved in local charitable efforts, providing frequent support to Herndon-Reston FISH, which assists residents in short-term crisis, as well as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the local police department.
The new office is one of 24 across the United States, through which CDW provides convenient, local support from coworkers who live and work in their customers’ communities, as well as the resources of a nationwide, full-service IT solutions company.
