CDW Extends PGA TOUR Partnership

PGA TOUR Golf Ball LogoCDW and the PGA TOUR announced a five-year extension of their relationship, under which CDW will remain the “Official Technology Partner of the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions” through 2021. CDW and the PGA TOUR began their relationship in 2008.

CDW, a trusted advisor to the PGA TOUR, provides expertise in the implementation, expansion and management of technology solutions, including the PGA TOUR’s ShotLink scoring system and technology that improves the fan experience and enhances operations for players and staff.

“As a leading IT solutions and services provider, CDW works with the top technology brands to help the PGA TOUR maximize the fan experience, support players and empower its employees,” said Matt Troka, senior vice president, product and partner management at CDW. “Our continued relationship with the PGA TOUR provides a great opportunity to showcase the power of partnerships between technology and sports.”

In addition to its relationship with the PGA TOUR, CDW continues to sponsor PGA TOUR pros Gary Woodland and Camilo Villegas. This year, its sponsorship of Woodland includes branding on his golf bag.

CDW has a long history of leveraging the power of its partnerships to support charitable causes. For example, last year, CDW supported Birdies for the Brave – a national military outreach initiative that hosts appreciation activities during PGA TOUR events. In doing so, CDW set up the Patriots Outpost, a hospitality chalet on the 18th fairway during the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Off the course, CDW partnered with Intel and Lenovo to host its Celebrity Skills Challenge to benefit Folds of Honor, which provides scholarships to family members of American soldiers killed or wounded in the line of duty.

Earlier this year, CDW hosted a Charity Golf Challenge during the Waste Management Phoenix Open, where Villegas and Woodland competed to donate a total of $25,000 to Give to Columbia and Folds of Honor. CDW also partnered with Woodland and the Chris Paul Family Foundation to donate technology to the Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club of Los Angeles. The extension of the relationship with the PGA TOUR will provide additional opportunities for charitable activities.
