CDW Earns IBM’s Platinum Partner Designation, Top Strategic Business Partner Leadership Award

IBM logoIBM named CDW a Platinum Business Partner. Platinum is the highest tier of IBM’s new PartnerWorld program, reserved for business partners that consistently demonstrate high capabilities and expertise in IBM technologies to help their clients succeed in digital transformation.

“CDW is proud to be a part of IBM’s inaugural class of platinum partners,” said Matt Troka, senior vice president, product and partner management, CDW. “Achieving this status recognizes CDW’s expertise and value as a comprehensive solutions provider for the entire IBM portfolio, serving our clients’ business needs.”

IBM added the Platinum designation as part of its redesigned PartnerWorld program, which the company announced last February at the PartnerWorld Leadership Conference. The four-tiered PartnerWorld program moves IBM and its business partners from a product-centric model to one focused on competencies, customer satisfaction and revenue. The Platinum level is designed to recognize partners that consistently deliver the highest level of excellence. Organizations achieve the Platinum level by earning at least two competencies (one at the Expert level), attaining significant sales success, demonstrating client satisfaction and verifying two client references. CDW qualified with 20 competencies, including 16 Expert and four Specialist with key focus areas in analytics, security, cloud and systems (servers and storage).

In addition to the new Platinum partner designation, IBM recognized CDW for its innovative solutions by naming it a 2017 IBM North America Top Strategic Business Partner Leadership Award winner. This award is given annually to partners of IBM who have distinguished themselves by successfully transforming to new growth areas of the business and establishing revenue growth in new product areas.
